The 15-Minute Weekly Money Review Every Owner Should Do

A simple weekly routine that keeps you on top of cash, invoices, and bills — without opening a spreadsheet.

You do not need to be an accountant to stay on top of your numbers. Fifteen focused minutes a week prevents most of the surprises that derail a business.

Check the cash position

Look at what is actually in the bank today — not what the software says you earned. Cash is what pays payroll and rent.

Review unpaid invoices

Who owes you money, and for how long? Anything past 30 days gets a follow-up this week, not 'sometime soon.'

Scan upcoming bills

Know what leaves the account in the next two weeks — rent, payroll, subscriptions, loan payments — so nothing surprises you.

Ask one question

Is this week better or worse than I expected? You do not need a perfect answer. Noticing trends early is the entire point.

Make it a standing appointment

Same day, same time, every week. A money review that floats never happens. Put it on the calendar like a client meeting — because it is one, with your own business.
